College of Information Professor John Bertot has been elected as “Chair-Elect” of the American Library Association’s (ALA) Library Research Round Table. Founded in 1968 “to contribute toward the extension and improvement of library research,” this committee sponsors research activities in the ALA, including the award of the Jesse H. Shera Award for Public Research. Late FSU College of Information Professor Elfreda A. Chatman was a highly regarded member of the committee during the 1980’s and 1990’s.
