The School of Information’s online Master of Science in Information Technology (MSIT) program remained in the Top 10 for the fifth consecutive year, according to the 2024 U.S. News & World Report rankings. The program placed No. 9 overall and No. 5 among public universities.
The MSIT program provides students the tools they need to be successful in the field of information technology, allowing them to gain experience in areas such as information architecture, IT governance, information systems management, and user experience design.
“The continued top-ten ranking of our MSIT program is a testament to the hard work of our faculty, staff, and students,” said Dr. Charles Hinnant, Director of the School of Information. “It shows our strong reputation as a leading provider of graduate education that focuses on the interactions between information, technology and human behavior. Our program is uniquely positioned to prepare our students to tackle some of society’s most challenging information-related issues.”
Dr. Michelle Kazmer, Dean of the College of Communication and Information, added, “The School of Information has been a long-time leader in the content and delivery of online IT education, and I am pleased that their efforts continue to be recognized by this strong ranking.”
