Dr. Richard Morris, a professor at Florida State University’s School of Communication Science & Disorders, was recently quoted in the article “Florida State aims to boost students’ critical thinking,” on FSU 24/7: The News Site for Florida State University about his involvement in the University’s Faculty Fellows Program.

Morris was one of 12 faculty members awarded grants to participate in the 2013 summer pilot of the Faculty Fellows Program in which faculty members developed and implemented innovative strategies for teaching and assessing critical thinking in their classes.

“Florida State University is saying we really want all of our undergraduate students to have these skills, and that is a major statement about the quality of the university,” Morris said. “It goes along with pre-eminence, and it feeds into our goal to be a Top 25 public university.”
