The School of Information’s online Master of Science in Information Technology has once again been ranked among the nation’s best, according to the U.S. News and World Report 2023 rankings. It is now ranked No. 5 overall (previously No. 6) and No. 3 among public institutions.
The MSIT program gives students the tools they need to be successful in the field of information technology. The program allows students to gain experience with areas such as information architecture, IT governance, information systems management, and user experience design.
“The high ranking of the School of Information’s online Master of Science in Information Technology is indicative of a highly innovative curriculum that prepares students for success within a highly competitive environment,” said Dr. Chris Hinnant, Director of the School of Information. “Furthermore, the ranking is ultimately the result of the hard work and professional commitment of our excellent faculty, staff, and students.”
Dr. Stephen McDowell, Interim Dean of the College of Communication and Information, added, “The recognition for the School of Information online programs is well-deserved. The faculty are serial innovators in online instruction, and continually seek out ways to better serve students in online platforms and engagement.”
