At the first annual TBLC job skills mini-conference, Moving On Up: A job seekers mini-conference, attendees will experience a full-day of presentations and content on making yourself a better candidate for a new job or a promotion at your existing institution. Held on May 20, 2014 at Florida Southern College in Lakeland this one-day event will give you a good start in making yourself the best job candidate you can.
The day’s agenda includes:
• Pasco County’s Kevin Griffith on Leadership vs. Management
• Daytona State College’s Cheryl Kohen on the importance of your online presence
• Mock interviewing with library directors from around the TBLC region
• A panel discussion on networking and being a part of professional associations to bolster your career
Lunch is included and during the lunchtime break you will be treated to a What Not to Wear Fashion Show and discussion of image and how to present yourself in the best light.
