Communications Intern

Unpaid Intern (for credit or experience)

The Center for Global Engagement is seeking an energetic and creative individual who is looking for an internship (unpaid: credit or non-credit) to promote and market CGE programs to the university community through social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube). Responsibilities may also include marketing research, organizing digital archives, and other administrative and marketing tasks as needed.

Requirements:

  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally

and in writing

  • Knowledgeable of marketing strategies and trends
  • Proficient-to-advanced user of social media, primarily (but not limited to) Facebook,

Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube

  • Proficient in Excel
  • Detail oriented and organized
  • Must be able to commit to 10 hours/week minimum

Preferred:

  • Interest in intercultural programming (knowledge of CGE programming preferred)
  • Knowledge of and interest in international affairs, world cultures and languages
  • Graphic design experience
