Department Overview:
This position is part of the Sales & Travel Operations (SATO) Internet Sales team. The team’s sales efforts support the full Disney Destinations portfolio, with emphasis on sales through 3rd party internet accounts.
Role Description:
The intern will assist in auditing Disney Destinations content, product and marketing on all Online Travel Agencies (Expedia, Travelocity, Orbitz and Priceline) sites on a regular basis. The intern will have the opportunity to work with the internet sales team on advertising and merchandising campaigns from conception to execution. The intern will have a chance to work and interact with internal teams including marketing, accounting, legal and other. Other job responsibilities may also include the following:
- Coordinate and provide Resort hotel site inspections to clients on an as needed basis
- Managing sweepstakes; producing prize winner certificates, processing ticket and room requests, and communicating with the prize winner
- Administrative support for client trainings
- Maintaining and shipping sales merchandise and collateral
- Processing invoices
- Overall point-of-contact support for account managers
Basic Qualifications:
These are the minimum qualifications you need to be considered for this position:
- Currently enrolled, or graduated within 6 months of the start date of this internship, in an accredited U.S. college/university, earning a degree majoring in Business, Marketing, Sales or a similar major
- Demonstrated computer proficiency within a Windows environment
- Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated strong partnering skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior Participation in the Disney College Program
- Previous internship experience in e-commerce, Advertising or Marketing
- Familiarity with Online advertising, Search Engine Marketing and e-commerce
- Proven self-starter and with the ability to balance multiple priorities
