Marketing & Social Media Intern

Company Description: The Florida Justice Association is a non-profit professional organization for Florida’s trial lawyers who represent individuals injured from the neglect of others. FJA engages aggressively in the legislative process and the political arenas to preserve access to the civil justice system through representing the interests of Florida’s consumers against the predatory attacks of deep-pocket corporations. The FJA also offers the highest-quality education available for trial attorneys in Florida through live in-person seminars and online programs. The trial attorneys our organization represents are leaders in their field, passionate about their work, and are overall a dynamic group of professionals.

Position Description:
We are looking for a creative self-starter who is results-oriented and a team player. This position is created to provide a meaningful experience and an educational opportunity for someone passionate about the marketing process and eager to learn. This person will work closely with the Communications Director to implement a social media engagement strategy, create web graphics, draft blog posts, update web pages, and more.

This is a 20 hour per week, part time internship. Stipend offered based on candidate experience and qualifications.
Qualifications/Expectations:
• Excellent writing skills
• Time management and organizational skills
• Prior experience managing social media accounts for an organization or business
• Familiarity with HTML and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop & InDesign) preferred
• Students currently enrolled in a marketing, public relations, or communications major
• Must be able to work 20 hours per week during the spring semester starting in January and ending in May. Potential to continue internship in summer.
