Application Developer/Designer @ Florida Center for Interactive Media

Responsibilities

  • Maintains and develops new user interfaces for application systems using original code and the latest versions of HTML, JavaScript with React, and CSS with SASS using VsCode or Web Storm.
  • Maintains and develops new back-end application systems using original ASP.NET and.NET Core using Microsoft Visual Studio.
  • Maintains and develops new databases using SQL Server Management Studio.
  • Test, debug and deploy applications across modern browsers including Edge, Firefox, Chrome, and Safari.
  • Research and identify new and existing technologies and apply them to application development. Review and develop programming standards and guidelines to build consistency between all programmers in the department and to validate that programming adheres to these standards and guidelines.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience related to the duties of this position; or a high school diploma/equivalency and six years of experience related to the duties of this position. (Note: A combination of post high school education and experience equal to six years in same).

  • Experience maintaining application systems and developing new and existing applications using original HTML, JavaScript with React, and CSS with SASS coding using VsCode or Web Storm.
  • Knowledge of standard programming languages, concepts, practices, and procedures within the technology field.
  • Knowledge of applicable computer software, operating systems, and current media technology and trends.
  • Ability to utilize and develop programing language and tools within the technology field.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments while meeting project deadlines.
  • Ability to research and identify new and existing technologies related to application development.
  • Ability to test, debug, and deploy applications across modern browsers.
