Responsibilities
Dual reporting: International Programs (IP) and ITS-ITAPP partnership to provide programming and application development support for International Programs. Performs job responsibilities under the supervision and guidance of the ITAPP manager and works to develop custom applications. Manages the IP web site, MSSQL databases and provides some server system administration and support. Creates and maintains system documentation and support procedures. Assists the ITAPP manager with maintenance and enhancements to their custom built study abroad enrollment management system. Assists with developing applications to improve business processes for the unit. Creates reports with SQL and Microsoft Access. Uses Distributed Version Control System. Support applications and/or components to maintain performance and/or maintain compatibility with other elements in the technical environment to ensure the existing system and/or business functionality continues to operate as already designed. Develops and maintains system documentation. Position is expected to leverage and work with existing IT systems and services managed by ITS. Assists the ITAPP Manager in maintaining Microsoft Access and MSSQL databases. Responsible for the monitoring, performance, security and integrity. Assists with website edits and enhancements using ASP.Net, HTML, CSS, and IIS. Assists in maintaining Windows Servers that are hosted in a virtualized environment. Serves as a liaison with Information Technology Services (ITS) both in person and using an online case management system. Works with International Programs staff both on-site and overseas.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and two years of full-time experience; or a high school diploma/equivalent and six years of full-time experience? (Note: post-high school education/experience can substitute at the comparable rate.) Experience communicating effectively verbally and in writing. Experience conveying technical information to technical and non-technical users. Experience prioritizing, organizing and performing multiple work assignments simultaneously. Experience utilizing problem solving skills. Experience with computer operations, functions, and related peripherals. Experience of standard concepts, practices, and procedures of computer support. Experience working with ASP.Net in either C# or VB.NET.

Pay Plan
This is an A&P (Administrative and Professional) position.
