Computer Technician

Qualifications:
 High school diploma or equivalent
 Strong interpersonal skills
 CompTIA A+ certification, or equivalent experience
 Demonstrate knowledge of computer hardware and software installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting on Windows client platforms
 Demonstrate knowledge of desktop-level Windows and TCP/IP networking hardware and software installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
 References indicating good attendance history and a high degree of confidentiality
Reports to:
 MIS Coordinator
Responsibilities:
 Install, maintain, and troubleshoot desktop computer hardware and software
 Communicate with vendors to obtain computer hardware and software pricing and information as required by district personnel
 Coordinate vendor warranty services, including scheduling service calls and component replacement
 Troubleshoot basic networking problems
 Provide in-service to district personnel
 Any other duties as may be deemed necessary by MIS Coordinator
Physical requirements:
 Must be physically able to operate a motor vehicle
 Must be able to exert up to 40 pounds of force occasionally and/or the same amount of force constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are for heavy work.
Terms of Employment:
 Salary and benefits shall be paid consistent with the District’s approved compensation plan. Length of work year and hours of employment shall be those established by the district.
Evaluation:
 Performance will be evaluated annually by the MIS Coordinator in accordance with Board Policy on Evaluation of Administrative Personnel.
