IT Job Opportunities at FAMU-FSU Engineering

College Computing Services at the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering is seeking motivated individuals to join our dedicated team of IT professionals…

We are seeking an additional full-time Computer Technician (OPS) to help us provide excellent, responsive support to our faculty and staff.  We are looking for someone with previous professional experience in Windows computer support; audio/visual and classroom support experience is a definite plus.  Excellent Customer Service skills are essential.  As one of our Computer Technicians, the selected candidate will provide first and second level response to user-impacting incidents, handle computer installations, and provide support for the operation of our Distance Learning Studio Classrooms.  While we are most interested in hiring someone to work full-time, we would consider part-time for an exceptionally-qualified individual.

Also, we are seeking another part-time Classroom Technician (Support Associate) (OPS) to assist our efforts in a variety of ways, from greeting customers in our office, to helping with computer installations, to supporting remote classes, and specifically including caring for our computer labs and classrooms. Excellent Customer Service skills are essential; experience with computer or audio/visual support is desired.  This is an excellent role for a student who has solid aptitude for computers and computing, and would like to gain some practical experience in computer support.

The selected candidates will be employed by Florida A&M University, working at FAMU-FSU Engineering (adjacent to Innovation Park). The chosen individuals will be expected to work on-site at the college.

Persons interested in being considered for these positions should send a resumé via email to Gary Eggebraaten, Director, College Computing Services, at geggebra@eng.famu.fsu.edu, indicating the position(s) of interest.  For full consideration, resumés must be received by March 15, 2021, but later submissions may be accepted as long as positions remain open.
