Responsibilities
Provides front line support to TraCS users including Law Enforcement Agency (LEA) IT staff, Law Enforcement Officers (LEOs), and records personnel over phone, by remote computer log in, and in person. Ensures that every support request is documented in the online issue tracker. Ensures that all resolutions to all issues are documented in the online issue tracker. Responsible for installing TraCS on server operating systems supported by Microsoft. Responsible for setting up new databases for agencies using SQL Management Studio and for ensuring that the TraCS application can communicate with the database over a given network. Responsible for integrating TraCS with Active Directory for those agencies that use the feature. Responsible for identifying which forms and features LEAs need from TraCS and creating local agency updates to ensure each local TraCS pack is customized to meet agency needs. Responsible for training LEA IT staff on how to install and support their agency internally, and training LEA IT staff how to use the TraCS online issue tracker in the event that further support is required from TraCS.

In an effort to streamline and minimize support, responsible for creating training materials, such as power points, computer based training (CBT) modules, training videos using Adobe Captivate, and more.

Assists TraCS Application developer(s) by testing and debugging software on a variety of software and hardware platforms prior to software package releases.

This job requires about 10% travel.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to four years.

Experience providing user support.

Experience creating and delivering training materials.

Experience installing software and hardware.

Experience assisting with developing, testing, and debugging software.

Applicant will be required to become Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) certified.

Must have a valid FL or GA’s driver license or ability to obtain prior to hire.

Background Check Requirements
This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check to include fingerprinting.

Pay Plan
This is an A&P (Administrative and Professional) position.
