Thomas Howell Ferguson P.A. CPAs (THF) is hiring a Marketing & Proposal Writing Associate in Tallahassee! THF is a growing, mid-sized accounting firm headquartered in Tallahassee, FL. In addition, we have two satellite locations in Tampa, FL and Bainbridge, GA. We are seeking an entry-level Marketing and Proposal Writing Associate to join our team. This person will be responsible for a wide array of marketing duties. Those include responding to proposals, internal communications, preparing team members for presentations, social media posts, editing marketing materials, and updating the firm’s websites. Consequently, this position will report directly to the Director of Marketing and Business Development.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Drafting, editing, and organizing responses to proposals for our various industry teams
  • Maintaining a database of contacts for our industry teams
  • Working with team leaders to gather the appropriate information to be included in proposals
  • Following trades to update the team on potential opportunities
  • Working with internal team members to draft and update their resumes and headshots
  • Preparing our teams for oral presentations with potential clients
  • Writing and editing marketing materials, blogs, and articles focused on the various industries of our firm
  • Updating our firm’s websites and social media profiles
  • Reviewing multiple websites and articles to search for additional revenue opportunities for our teams
  • Contacting leads or referral sources to gather information and update our teams
  • Representing THF in the community to build positive brand awareness

Requirements

This job might be for you if you:

  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Have earned an associate’s or bachelor’s degree (preferred, but not required)
  • Are a very skilled writer and truly enjoy business writing or creating marketing content
  • Are computer-savvy and have a high proficiency in Google G-Suite and/or Microsoft Office
  • Have past experience with writing responses to proposals or grants (nice to have, but not mandatory)
  • Are able to adapt and learn different government website proposal systems
  • Have professional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Available to work full-time Monday – Friday in the Tallahassee, FL office
  • Already live in or around Tallahassee, FL or are willing to relocate (especially if you have ties to the area)
  • Are OK with working in an office setting the majority of the work week (note that occasional work-from-home days could be an option)
  • Can pass a criminal background check
