Department – DSA Marketing
Responsibilities
- Supports overall direction of the marketing and branding of University Housing and its major programs, initiatives and events, including campaigns designed to encourage new student awareness, engagement and participation, while diversify existing participation.
- Produces and maintains an active plan and timeline for all marketing campaigns to include evaluation and assessment of the effectiveness of campaigns.
- Initiates production meetings and long-range planning with department leaders.
- Develops & implements policies and procedures in accordance with Department, Division, and University guidelines.
- Project manager who is responsible for the supervision of Marketing and Communications (5-10 OPS). Supervises, assists and works with printers, designers, photographers, videographers, and various productions suppliers writing all specifications, securing quotes and bids, and supervising all projects to completion.
- Provide workshops for staff, students, and organizations on “Effective Marketing Strategies.” Develops and assesses marketing strategies to effectively reach the student population and entire university community. Coordinates with the Students Disability Resource Center to ensure accessibility in all publications.
- Conducts Market Research, complies data received, advises staff as to image, trends, services/programs/goods requested. Evaluates effectiveness of advertising/promotion efforts.
- Serves on university committees for Division of Student Affairs programs and initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience; or a high school diploma/equivalency and six years of experience. (Note: or a combination of a post-high school education and experience equal to six years.)
- Experience providing overall art direction of marketing and branding of major program, initiatives and events.
- Experience creating and programming workshops.
- Experience producing and maintaining an active plan and timeline for all marketing campaigns.
- Ability to develop and implement a successful marketing plan/strategy.
- Ability to develop and implement policies, procedures, goals, and objectives.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Ability to utilize problem solving skills.
- Knowledge of marketing research techniques and tools.
- Knowledge of applicable computer applications and basic computer functions.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Preferred
Knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply related federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, rules and regulations.
Knowledge of and the ability to interpret and apply related University policies, procedures, principles, and practices.
Pay Plan
This is an A&P (Administrative and Professional) position.
Criminal Background Check
This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check. The background check will be conducted as authorized and in accordance with University Policy 4-OP-C-7-B11.
