1. Provides professional, general and subject specific reference service to the Oceanographic Campus Library users in person, via email, by phone, and chat. 2. Provides library instruction to the Oceanographic Campus Library users, one-on-one, in a class setting, by email, phone, and chat. 3. Creates and delivers a wide range of information literacy services to students and faculty, including classroom teaching, LMS courses, and individualized training. 4. Produces documentation on general and subject-specific areas to aid in library instruction. This will include online tutorials, videos, and other effective technology to create excellence in library instruction. 5. Recommends suitable materials in all formats for the Oceanographic Campus Library collections. 6. Maintains a working relationship with faculty in the Halmos College of Arts and Sciences and keeps them informed about current library issues. 7. Acts as a liaison to the natural sciences faculty, specifically at the NSU Oceanographic Campus, but also generally within the NSU Halmos College of Arts and Sciences for the purposes of providing library instruction, to provide them with library information, and soliciting suggestions for collection development. 8. Reviews course offerings and syllabi in the subject area and make recommendations for purchase to ensure that the Oceanographic Campus Library’s collections support curriculum and research needs. 9. Identifies and incorporates emerging technologies in instructional initiatives as appropriate. 10. Coordinates with the NSU Halmos College Department of Marine and Environmental Sciences Program Office to support the campus’ ETD publication cycle. 11. Assists with faculty scholarly communication endeavors including, but not limited to, maintenance of faculty profiles through the institutional repository, clarification of copyright and open access agreements with publications, and promotion of Halmos College publications via in-house and social media platforms.
