Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree related to technology and/or communication and two years of experience related to the responsibilities of the position or a combination of post high school education and said experience equal to six years.

* Experience in developing web page structure, architecture, content, functionality, scalability, and engagement tools to produce effective, efficient, and cutting edge websites, web applications, and related social media sites that support and enhance communications strategies and online reputations.

* Experience in utilizing web resources that support brand and integrated marketing and communications initiatives

* Experience in researching, monitoring, and applying emerging trends and technologies, and recommending solutions to best support the current and future web strategies, priorities, and emerging needs

* Ability to independently troubleshoot, problem solve, and employ critical thinking skills for a wide range of clients.
Background Check Requirements
This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check to include fingerprinting.

Responsibilities
Florida State University’s Office of University Communications is seeking a web design specialist to develop and deliver websites related to institutional identity, in-house client support, and brand initiatives. Working with University Communications’ Web and New Media Design Specialist, the role will serve as an integral member of the Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) team to develop, refine, and deliver websites that support the university’s web and social media reputation and brand.

*Develop web page structure, architecture, content, functionality, scalability, and engagement tools to produce effective, efficient, and cutting edge websites, web applications, and related social media sites that support and enhance communications strategies and online reputations.

* Research, monitor, and apply emerging trends and technologies, and recommend solutions to best support the current and future web strategies, priorities, and emerging needs.

* Provide consultative support in the selection and use of web applications, content, and images suitable across multiple platforms.

* Utilize web resources that support brand and integrated marketing and communications initiatives.

* Independently troubleshoot, problem solve, and employ critical thinking skills for a wide range of clients.

Pay Plan
This is an A&P (Administrative and Professional) position.
