Responsibilities
Responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive marketing strategy to increase the visibility of the Center for Global Engagement’s (CGE) signature programs on campus through social media, e-media, web and new materials. Manages two websites with ongoing updates to content and photos. Writes and distributes a weekly e-newsletter(s) and coordinates all print and e-media to include brochures, posters, handbooks and special publications. Develop a comprehensive marketing plan with annual timeline for all areas of the CGE to increase the visibility of the CGE on campus and ensure that programs and events are well publicized. Develop strategies for social media and supervise social media intern. Coordinate pre-arrival communication for new international students. Maintain and update procedures for web, print, and marketing and manage CGE calendars. Develop and implement a targeted marketing plan for key program(s) each year, such as the Global Citizenship Certificate Program and bilateral exchange programs. This may include determining best practices, developing surveys to better target stakeholders, as well as writing content for diverse audiences and managing design for print, web and multimedia marketing. Revise and maintain the Center for Global Engagement and Global FSU websites. Write short feature articles, write and edit content, update photos, and maintain archive of photos. Update homepages frequently with new content and photos. Create weekly e-newsletters for distribution to all international students, and campus and community members highlighting upcoming programs and events during the fall and spring semesters. Write and edit content, select photos, and manage listserv. Chair CGE Editorial Board, comprised of several CGE staff members, to generate ideas and content for feature stories on CGE homepage and e-newsletter. Develop and/or update handbooks and brochures, and oversee production of all print media to ensure consistency of branding, message and compliance with University standards. Supervise part-time graphic artist in the development of posters, handbills, and other publicity. Prepare detailed reports including graphics. Write content for and coordinate the production of special publications highlighting internationalization efforts and achievements. Edit and update all CGE information included in annual FSU publications. Participate in all major CGE and Division of Student Affairs events and programs. Serve on CGE, DSA or university-wide committees to include the FSU Communicators Network. Serve as liaison to DSA marketing team. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in Communication or closely related field and two years experience or a combination of relevant post high school education and experience equal to six years. Knowledge of website design and processes and the skills necessary to maintain a website using a Content Management System. Experience writing, editing, and producing publications. Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to write and edit a variety of reports and other written communication. Ability to compile and analyze data and generate detailed reports. Experience working with graphics and publication design and the skills necessary to oversee the development of publications and print media. The ability to create a comprehensive marketing strategy and editorial calendar and familiarity with marketing and social media tools. Experience supervising individuals with varying degrees of experience.
Preferred
Master’s degree in communication or closely related field. Experience managing a complex website in higher education. Experience designing and producing publications, brochures, and other print media. Experience developing and implementing a comprehensive marketing plan including web, print, and social media strategies.
Anticipated Salary Range
Mid Thirties

This is an A&P (Administrative and Professional) position.
