Florida State University awarded 383 honors medallions to Spring 2020 graduates in a virtual ceremony on April 30, 2020 — 33 of these medallions were given to graduates of the FSU College of Communication and Information.
The FSU Honors Program recognizes students who are particularly motivated to create change through intellectual curiosity. The breakdown of the awards is as follows:
- University Honors Program (HON)
Earned at least 18 Honors points in fulfillment of the general honors program requirements. - Honors in the Major Program (HITM)
Completed an honors thesis in fulfillment of the requirement for the distinction “with Honors” in their major department. - Dual Honors (DUAL)
Completed both the University Honors Program and the Honors in the Major program. - Outstanding Senior Scholar distinction (OSS)
Completed the University Honors Program and the Honors in the Major program and graduated Summa Cum Laude, having a GPA of 3.9 or higher.
