Delta Zeta hosting Hamburgers for Hearing for Schendel Clinic

The ladies of Delta Zeta sorority invite the community to Hamburgers for Hearing, a fundraiser for the L.L. Schendel Speech and Hearing Clinic operated by FSU’s School of Communication Science & Disorders.

The event will be held at the Delta Zeta House, 749 W. Jefferson St., from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 24. The evening includes food, music and entertainment.

Tickets are $5 in advance and $7 at the door. Meals include burgers or hot dogs along with chips, drinks and dessert. Contact Brooke at 904-476-4734 for tickets or for more information.

Delta Zeta’s national philanthropic partnerships focus on speech- and hearing-related causes, and the FSU chapter last year created a $25,000 endowment to benefit the Schendel Clinic. The sorority pledged to contribute $5,000 a year for five years, and the money supports clinical training for students and community outreach for children and adults in the Big Bend region with various types of communication delays and disorders.
