The Center for Hispanic Marketing Communication at Florida State University (FSU)’s School of Communication is hosting “Puntos de Vista,” or “Points of View”, an international Spanish-language documentary festival. Communication, media production and film-making undergraduate students/faculty in colleges and universities across the U.S., Latin America, the Caribbean and the Iberian Peninsula are invited to participate. Submitted video entries are due by Dec. 13.
This festival aims to encourage young students to express different perspectives through subject matters that will help us grow as communicators and as a society. Topics of interest include but are not limited to the following genres: consumption, culture, religion, society and environmental issues.
The submission window opens on Nov. 15 and closes on Dec. 13, 2013. Video entries must take the form of a 15-20 minute Spanish documentary with English subtitles. The festival committee, consisting of filmmakers and faculty, will select the 15 best documentaries to participate in the “Puntos de Vista” festival.
Finalists will be announced on the third week of Jan. The documentary showing event will take place on April 11 at FSU’s Student Life Cinema in Tallahassee, Fla. Hotel and local transportation will be provided for the top three winning participants.
Festival’s Awards:
