Dr. Richard Morris has been promoted to Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Faculty Advancement in the College of Communication and Information (CCI).
Morris joined the faculty in 1988 and has served as a professor in the School of Communication Science & Disorders (SCSD). He plans to bring his focus on therapeutic interactions into the new role.
“The most exciting aspects of the Associate Dean position are the opportunities to work with the faculty and staff members in all three schools and the Dean’s office to help the faculty members achieve their career goals and to create learning opportunities for the CCI students that meet their education purposes,” said Morris.
Dean Michelle Kazmer, who previously served as the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Faculty Advancement, added, “I am delighted to be welcoming a new perspective into the Associate Dean role. Professor Morris has extraordinary knowledge of Florida State University and many excellent connections around campus. He brings positivity, intentionality, and thoughtfulness to every endeavor and I am excited to see the College of Communication and Information continue to flourish with him as part of our leadership team.”
