Paid Press Intern

Remote

The Minority Staff of the U.S. Senate Committee on Banking, Housing & Urban Affairs seeks a paid press intern. Part-time interns will be considered, but candidates with full-time availability will be given preference. Responsibilities include compiling press clips, drafting press releases, talking points, and memos, conducting research, and assisting Senator Brown’s Press Staff with the day-to-day operations of an active press shop. The internship will be remote. Applicants must work well under pressure and have excellent written and oral communication skills. The office is an equal employment opportunity employer and strongly encourages all interested candidates to apply, including women, people of color, veterans, and LGBTQIA individuals. Applicants with disabilities who require reasonable accommodation to participate effectively in the application or hiring processes are encouraged to request an accommodation at any time during those processes. Please email a resume and cover letter addressing your qualifications and the time commitment you can make (i.e. start/end dates and number of days/hours per week) to internships_democratic@banking.senate.gov.
