The Internal Communications Specialist assists in the preparation of speeches, presentations, videos and other communications for the top leaders of Disney Cruise Line, Disney Vacation Club and Adventures by Disney. This role also provides graphic-design support for the Public Affairs team, including direct support as well as design-related coaching and guidance to others on the team.
Responsibilities The Internal Communications Specialist assists in the preparation of speeches, presentations, videos and other communications for the senior leaders of Disney Cruise Line (DCL), Disney Vacation Club (DVC) and Adventures by Disney (AbD). This role also provides graphic-design support for the Public Affairs team, including direct support as well as design-related coaching and guidance to others on the team. Prepare innovative and compelling executive presentations for targeted internal and external audiences using Keynote, PowerPoint, video and other audio-visual elements. Manage the set-up and production of executive video projects. Work with the team leader and key partners to research topics, write scripts, gather photos and video, and prepare executives for presentation delivery. Provide on-site support for executive presentations. Develop and manage effective relationships with partners and leaders at DCL/DVC/AbD and across Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. Assist with the design and execution of key Cast and Crew events.

Basic Qualifications
Three to five years of professional corporate communications experience
Proven experience creating audio-visual support and writing scripts for executive presentations
Experience providing on-site presentation support to executives
Experience with event logistics and the technical needs of executive presentations
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to deal effectively with people at all levels of the organization
Strong written and verbal communications skills
Experience with all Microsoft Office applications, as well as Keynote, Photoshop, Illustrator, QuarkXPress and Adobe Acrobat
Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities under deadline pressure

Preferred Qualifications
In-depth knowledge of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts and organizational sensitivities
Demonstrated ability to develop effective executive communication products requiring minimal editing and rework
Demonstrated leadership, strategic-thinking and problem-solving skills
Ability to work well independently as well as in a team environment
Ability to consistently meet deadlines and maintain a high level of quality
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure
Demonstrated business savvy
Demonstrated strong client-service orientation
Preferred Education

Master’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, related field or equivalent
Required Education
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or related field or equivalent
