Responsibilities

This position is responsible for the development and support of website, online tools, and applications for the Office of Enrollment Management.

Responsible for managing the maintenance of web-based information resources, including but not limited to all internet and intranet resources maintained by Enrollment Management.  Responsible for the management of web-based application resources used within the department and their corresponding data stores.  Responsible for the research, development, and implementation of potential technology-based solutions to maximize efficiency of office processes and procedures.  Responsible for the implementation of strategies to better target communications to specific populations and to increase web presence in enrollment management.

Responsible for design, review, and modification of university admissions applications and online resources as well as the Coalition and Common platforms of application tools. Gathers requirements from users, creates specifications, and writes code for these applications. Ensures testing and debugging of applications prior to making them available to the public. Monitors website and application traffic and usage to make recommendations to improve functionality and usability. Provides tools, training, and technical support to functional units and the public.

Coordinates with Enrollment Management staff with maintenance schedules to ensure site accuracy and timeliness. Ensures a consistent site look and feel by promoting uniform formatting, images. Creates templates and forms to assist Enrollment Management staff in authoring event registrations, inquiry forms, and portal-based content.

Contributes to long-range planning. Reviews and evaluates policies and procedures, making suggestions, and recommendations to senior leadership regarding website and application functions. Shares in the compilation and analysis of data for recommendations and projections. Assists in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the Enrollment Management Technology Services section.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to six years.

Experience and comfort working with a variety of computer software applications, databases, and student information systems (PeopleSoft).

Experience with web design, web development and current media technology and trends.

Experience with the following: web/database integration, SQL, HTML, and Cold Fusion or equivalent software/systems.

Experience with SharePoint to include, but not limited to development of web parts, and site management/administration.

Preferred

A bachelor’s degree and two years of experience in Information Technology, Student Services, or related field.

Ability to multi-task within a fast-paced work environment.

Experience implementing and/or supporting a new initiative (policy, technology, procedure, etc.).

Experience with admissions operations and application processing. Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills desired.

Anticipated Salary Range

Commensurate with experience.

Pay Plan

This is an A&P (Administrative and Professional) position.

Schedule

If not otherwise specified, schedule is M-F, 8-5.

This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check. The background check will be conducted as authorized and in accordance with University Policy 4-OP-C-7-B11.
